Self-care is obviously a more desirable alternative to hemorrhoid surgery, but when it cannot be avoided, these methods have been proven to be effective in the treatment of hemorrhoids.

Surgeons are now employing the use of a sophisticated laser in hemorrhoid treatment. This laser provides incredible, pinpoint accuracy for vaporizing or removing various types of hemorrhoids. Because the beam is so tiny, the surgeon can be very precise. Also, there is very little bleeding during the surgery and virtually none afterward, because the laser hemorrhoid treatment cauterizes as it works. Another benefit of this is that it promotes rapid healing and is usually much less painful during recovery than other surgical methods. Laser hemorrhoid treatment rarely requires a hospital stay, which saves the patient both time and money.
